The legal basis and general terms and conditions governing the advisory and calculation services provided are set out in the Regulations Governing the Relationship between the Client and the Consulting Engineering Firm (Regeling van de Verhouding tussen Opdrachtgever en adviserend Ingenieursbureau), abbreviated as RVOI.

The RVOI serves as the basis for all agreements entered into between Femto Engineering B.V. and its clients, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The latest version, RVOI-2001, was prepared under the responsibility of the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI).

In addition to general provisions covering the legal relationship, the position of the consultant, the scope of the assignment, cooperation with third parties, termination, suspension, postponement, revocation and withdrawal from assignments, ownership and use of documents, liability and disputes, the RVOI also sets out the payment terms.

This agreement has been drawn up in accordance with Dutch law.

For assignments involving the construction or realisation of a physical object, we draw the client’s attention to the importance of taking out appropriate Construction All Risks (CAR) insurance or equivalent insurance, in accordance with Article 5.9 of RVOI-2001.
