Explore the possibilities of custom tools. For the customer Femto Engineering can find a solution for a specific problem in the form of a program. This program could be an API tool. Example: a tool for the simulation of gas diffusion through tires.

Femto Toolbar

Femto engineering offers you free use of our toolbar in Femap. An overview of the toolbar content:

Snaportho = "snaps the view to the nearest orthogonal view"
Direction = "Flips plate elements in the direction of the chosen vector"
Dircenter = "Flips the direction of plate elements in the direction of the vector, which is pointing to a chosen point to an element"
Solidgroup = "Groups all selected solid geometry"
Nodemesher = "Lays a plate mesh between the selected nodes"
Movebycilinder = "displacement method Move By of nodes cilindric in the R direction"
Misesbeam = "Maximum value of the Max and Min Stress in Beams, see messages"

These tools can be installed to execute install_femto_toolbar.exe which can be found in the zip-file. Femap has to be active when this file is installed.
When you are working with WindowsXP, please note you need Microsoft.NET version 4. You can download this version over here.

Cross section properties

This tool calculates the inertia properties of several common cross sections. Also the properties of a cross section defined by points can be calculated.

Femto developed a tool for an easy & quick prediction of the pressure retention within car tires, the so-called IPR prediction.

SDC Verifier

SDC Verifier enhances Femap with a new functionality. Together they provide an accepted and sound solution for the verification of constructions according to Structural Design Standards. SDC Verifier uses Femap as the pre-processor for the generation of model and its graphical interface to visualize the results.
