11. Medical bags production >
Thermal FE analysis of seal blocks for production of medical bags
12. Optimization of a plastic bottle >
Femto Engineering has assisted in the development of a new series of plastic bottles by determining the ideal wall thickness distribution with respect to weight and stiffness.
13. Optimization of plastic ice-tub >
Stacking ice-tubs in a warehouse can result in the bottom tub experiencing buckling failure, which, in turn, can cause the whole pile to collapse. Femto was asked to improve and optimise the ice-tub design with respect to stresses, weight and geometry.
14. Optimization of radar tower section >
Optimization of a web-frame in a radar tower of a Dutch Navy frigate
15. Pipe bending Machine >
Strength assessment of an induction pipe bending machine
16. Rigid Arm integration >
Stress & buckling calculation of an FPSO’s Rigid Arm integration for ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) regulations. Performed onsite at the customer.
17. Strength analysis of pedestrian bridge >
In honour of the tenth lustrum of the "Delftse Studenten Vereniging Sint Jansbrug" a pedestrian bridge was built. Femto Engineering reviewed the design on stiffness and strength. Furthermore the design was checked to the engineering standards.
18. Upgrade of garage lock >
Participation in an upgrade of an existing garage door lock from 1 to 2 stars SKG (Dutch Safety Standard). The challenge of this project was to develop a lock that would certify for the 2 stars standard using the current mould and with minimum inc
