Spotlight on an intern: FEA

We love working with enthusiastic engineering students and give them the opportunity to work with our simulation specialists and tools. However, every year we have limited FEA and CFD internship positions available. In 2019, out of the many applications, we selected Leslie to join the team. Spotlight on an intern: HEEDS

Our intern had to perform an optimization study on plastic railway sleepers. The goal of the assignment was to assess in which way the sleeper width affects the track ballast settlement and optimize the design accordingly.
